Be-Mobile nv

Be-Mobile makes use of the strengths of the connected vehicle and traveller to monitor traffic 24/7. Through fusing and enriching real-time and historical data from several sources, Be-Mobile enables improved and practical traffic management. Data sources include the connected vehicle, road and vehicle sensors but also information on (mobile) road words and logistics-specific parameters (i.e. bridge lift and waterlock times).

Traffic streams are optimised through the Be-Mobile Big Data-platform. This platform enables traffic and logistics managers to send personalised messages to truck drivers.

Be-Mobile is also member of the Partnerschip ‘Talking Traffic’, which will implement C-ITS in the Netherlands as from the summer period, 2017.

Port of Zeebrugge

Zeebrugge, or Bruges by the Sea, is a young seaport with modern port equipment suitable for the largest ships. The present structure of the port dates from as recent as 1985. The emergence of the roll-on/roll-off techniques, the containerisation and the increase in the scale of the ships convinced the Belgian government to develop the coastal port into a deepsea port. An extensive outer port, a new sea lock with entrance to an inner port, gave Zeebrugge a new impulse in the years that followed.

Within CITRUS, the port of Zeebrugge is one of the areas where specific CITRUS services contained within the CITRUS companion app are tested.

Port of Antwerp

The Port of Antwerp’s deep inland location and unique combination of cargo handling, industry and logistics make it Europe’s leading integrated maritime and logistics platform. A vast network of highways, railroads and inland waterways guarantee smooth transport to all major European markets. Adding to this, regular transport connections to the foreland and customs facilities make the Port of Antwerp a most reliable and cost-efficient supply chain partner in Europe.

Within CITRUS, the port of Zeebrugge is one of the areas where specific CITRUS services contained within the CITRUS companion app are tested.
